In partnership with building owner KBS, and Downtown Austin Alliance Foundation, Art + Artisans successfully managed the installation of a 50’ x 60’ original mural by internationally acclaimed artist Mr Doodle, known for his spontaneous style combining doodling, cartooning and graffiti.
The 515 Congress Mural features Mr Doodle’s signature “Graffiti Spaghetti” style; dense, intertwined lines that invite viewers into a whimsical world of creativity and imagination. Located at the bustling intersection of 6th Street and Congress Avenue, Mr Doodle’s work is now a well-matched contributor to the energetic landscape of downtown Austin.
“This is the kind of thing that I dream about doing. Giant walls like this, I don’t get to do often. It’s just so cool to see it come to life,” Mr. Doodle said. “I’ve really put my heart into this one. I really hope people love it.”
The project is part of the Downtown Austin Alliance Foundation’s Writing on the Walls program celebrating art, diversity and public spaces in Austin.
