Art + Artisans developed an art program for Modera McKinney Ridge that responds to the unique character of its storied location.

The 381-unit garden-style community sits adjacent to urban prairie land Erwin Park, connecting McKinney’s natural and agricultural history and its growing reputation as a destination for young professionals.

The collection features contemporary landscape paintings that reference the property’s wooded surroundings, alongside abstract works in contemplative neutrals that echo the architecture and interiors. Textile installations employ a natural drape that reflects both the organic flow of the nearby creek and the handcrafted tradition that built this North Texas town.

Like the rest of the development, the art strikes a balance between the built and the natural, the historic and the contemporary, giving Modera McKinney ridge a particular resonance in a community learning to grow without losing sight of its roots.
