Recently opened in Austin’s newest downtown tower at 500 W. 2nd, Firmspace offers its client an elevated co-working environment for business executives. Founded in 2016, by Matt Ferstler and Justin Bayne, Firmspace’s goal was to create a co-working space for professional and legal communities with upscale interiors in unprecedented class A spaces. The new Austin office features panoramic views of downtown, walls of glass windows, exposed concrete, with both open areas and private offices.
To match the executive environment with a local vibe, the client wanted to combine the upscale, modern and industrial elements of the space, with Austin’s unique, vibrant community. With these goals in mind, our team selected original, mixed media and dimensional art by local artists that elevate high-traffic public areas and created the Austin link for both visitors and the executives who work there. Tenant spaces throughout included both black and white and color photography of Austin printed on canvas and metal. This enabled our team to match the sophistication of the space, and create the local connection both through iconic photography and by working local artists. A winning combination for this drop-dead gorgeous space!
The balance of the artwork combined with the modern architecture, creates a unique and Austin-centric space. You can see more images of the installations at Firmspace’s office here.
