Confidential Financial Firm Campus

Corporate Campus

Location: Austin, TX
Project Type: Corporate Campus

When this Fortune 500 firm built its new campus in Austin, they wanted to make a strong community connection by working with local artists to strengthen ties to the city. All employees would be working from one location for the first time, and fostering connection was important. Artwork needed to grab attention, inspire conversation and appeal to a younger, tech-savvy employee base.

Art for each campus building focuses on the voluminous main lobbies that welcome visitors and serve as collaboration spaces. Color and interactive pieces encourage everyone to experience the art while creating significant opportunities for social engagement.

One mesmerizing installation is the 8′ x 23′ tall cylinders, each consisting of 365 handwoven monofilament wires. As you move throughout the room, these cylinders create an illusion of flowing light. Set against the backdrop of an ombre-painted wall that enhances the color of each column, the jaw-dropping piece of art is hypnotic and a different experience depending on where one views it.

The Amenities Building features a kinetic, fully functioning clock. The massive acrylic gears move with weights and a swinging pendulum. Employees and visitors are encouraged to become part of the experience by winding the clock.
